Students say no to Scarborough

SUN has written this letter which highlights that students are disapproving of university relationships with fossil fuel company Woodside. Particularly in light of Woodside’s Scarborough project, the Sustainable Universities Network (SUN) members want universities to cut ties with Woodside to influence the termination of the Scarborough project.

We want to pose this question to universities: Do universities care more about our future or their partnerships Woodside?

We want to:

  1. Show the collective voice of students around Australia

  2. Make universities question their alliance with these companies

  3. Ultimately use universities to put pressure on this project

In this letter you will find our concerns, our demands, all university connections to Woodside we have found and a list of signatories.
